Tiger Woods may have lost his championship status with many of his fans, but he still has some legal swing. The billionaire golfer reportedly has quashed a planned ad campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. PETA was planning to put up a billboard poking clear fun at Woods’ ongoing marital woes while encouraging pet owners to be responsible with their furry charges.

“Too much sex can be a bad thing for little tigers too,” says the proposed billboard, which also includes a large image of Woods. “Help keep your cats (and dogs) out of trouble: Always spay or neuter!”

Woods’ lawyers apparently were not amused. The animal-rights group told TMZ, “In light of conversations we have had with Mr. Woods’ attorneys, plans to run our billboard are on hold at this time.’

What do you think? Did the proposed billboard go too far, or would Woods have done better to play along and show the world a lighter side of himself?
