Google+ drew 25 million visitors in less than a month
Google's new social networking service picked up about 25 million visitors from around the globe in less than a month, faster than rival Facebook in its early days, according to research firm ComScore.
Facebook, which initially was open only to colleges, grew far more slowly by design, and has experienced the most stable growth of social networking services, Lipsman said.
Google+ had more than 6 million visitors from the U.S., its biggest market, followed by India with more than 3 million visitors through July 24, ComScore reports.
Google+ launched in late June by invitation only. It is Google's most ambitious effort yet to compete with Facebook for eyeballs and advertising dollars. Facebook has more than 750 million users.
