The stars of ‘Cars 2’ put their silly smiles into overdrive at the Saturday premiere of the Disney-Pixar film featuring the voice talents of Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt and Larry the Cable Guy.

Wilson, Hunt and the Cable Guy revved up the fun on the blue carpet at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. The actors reprise their roles as beloved talking cars Lightning McQueen, Sally and Mater, who in the Disney sequel go overseas to compete in a world racing competition. Cars from and inspired by the movie paraded down the red carpet ahead of the actors, and Hunt brought her family along for the ride, as did Joe Mantegna, the voice of Grem, who was spotted with daughter Gia Mantegna.

Cheech Marin, the voice of Ramone; Emily Mortimer, the voice of Holley Shiftwell; and British comedian Eddie Izzard, who voices Sir Miles Axlerod, also came out for the premiere with director John Lasseter.

Cast members Jenifer Lewis, Peter Jacobson and Pixar film staple John Ratzenberger, sidled up the blue carpet, which was lined with stacks of tires as well as flags from around the world.

The family-friendly film prompted singer Sheryl Crow, ‘Handy Manny’ actor Wilmer Valderrama, musician Travis Barker, singer-actress Christina Milian and their broods to park it at the theater. ‘Joey and Melissa’ star Joey Lawrence also attended with younger brother Andrew Lawrence.

Also spotted: Disney President and CEO Bob Iger, ‘Modern Family’ actress Sarah Hyland, singer Michel Michelis, ‘X Factor’ judge Nicole Scherzinger and British Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton. ‘True Grit’ star Hailee Steinfeld, ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ actor Zachary Gordon and ‘Shake It Up’ actress Bella Thorne also joined the festivities along with ‘Southland’ actor Tom Everett Scott.

‘Cars 2’ speeds its way into theaters Friday.
