L.A.-based jewelry brand Meus Designs, which is known for its oversized sapphire cocktail rings and mixed-metal designs, has launched a limited-edition collection of baubles showcasing moonstones -- the shimmery, almost pearlized gems that in India and other Eastern countries have periodically been regarded as magical (and, personally, we’re running with that.)

The collection features grey, cream and rose moonstones framed by ebony, enamalized metal. From the curvy, ornate shape of the ring bed to the mixed gold-and-black, the results feel decidedly Victorian — and a little witchy-poo.

We envision pairing one of the cocktail rings -- as the sole item of jewelry -- with a metallic party dress or even a long black linen tunic, capitalizing on the stone’s dark mystique.

The collection is available at Broken English in Brentwood and ranges in price from $3,000 to $7,000.
