Schwarzenegger might miss out on the fun in St. Paul

August 27, 2008 | 12:52 pm

Schwarzenegger California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was slated for a high-profile role on the opening night of the Republican convention in St. Paul on Monday, but there’s a good chance he will take a pass on the spotlight.

The governor said he will skip the GOP gathering if California lawmakers still haven’t reached an agreement on a new state budget. And given that the budget already is nearly two months overdue, and that legislators need to plug a $15-billion hole, odds are reasonably high it’s not going to happen.

The Times’ Molly Hennessy-Fiske has Schwarzenegger’s comments over with Veronique on our engrossing sister blog L.A. Now.

The AS will most likely be using a video telecommunication presentation. And he will make lots of disgusting remarks about the democrats and the state legislators and will be applauded by it from both the convention and media. Let's hope that at the democratic convention they will be READY!!!
