Fans can attend Pujols, Wilson news conference Saturday

December 9, 2011 |  3:47 pm

New Angels slugger Albert Pujols and pitcher C.J. Wilson, who both agreed to massive free-agent contracts with the team Thursday, will be introduced at a news conference in front of the home-plate gate at Angel Stadium on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The event will be open to the public.

Owner Arte Moreno, General Manager Jerry Dipoto, Manager Mike Scioscia and several former and current Angels, including right fielder Torii Hunter, will be on hand.

Since the signing of Pujols, perhaps baseball's most feared slugger over the last decade, to a 10-year, $254-million and Wilson, the former Texas Rangers ace, to a five-year, $77.5-million deal, the Angels have sold more than 1,000 season tickets and recieved more than 500 on-line orders for ticket packages.
