'Gossip Girl': Sayonara Season 1!

May 16, 2008 |  2:12 pm

Happy Friday! We've got the whole weekend to mull over the fact that after Monday's episode, we will have to wait three whole months until "Gossip Girl" returns. The season finale will undoubtedly center on Lily and Bart's wedding. I ran into Kelly Rutherford last night at the Rogan for Target party at Barneys, and she wasn't too forthcoming with details. "There will be a wedding dress," she said before continuing to browse the racks. Um, yeah. The promo photos below show that the wedding does indeed take place, which leaves a secret affair between Lily and Rufus highly likely for next season. I'm sure we'll have lots to discuss on Tuesday -- check back for a recap and a chat with yours truly at noon.

In the meantime, a look back at Season 1 is necessary. Everyone's come a long way since that first glimpse of Serena arriving at Grand Central Station. S found love and redemption from her turbulent past. Blair got her groove back after swallowing a huge slice of humble pie. Dan nabbed his dream girl while exuding a tolerable amount of cynicism. Nate discovered Brooklyn. Jenny flexed her scheming muscles and learned the value of Valentino. Eric embraced his highlights and came out of the closet. And Chuck ... well, every show needs a constant.

From all of Season 1's highs and lows, what were your favorite moments? Here are ours. Comment away!
