'Prison Break' actor sentenced to probation for hitting ex

“Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison was ordered to undergo 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings after pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery for hitting his ex-girlfriend.  

The 32-year-old actor known for playing David “Tweener” Apolskis on the Fox drama must also perform eight hours of community service and pay $400 to the Domestic Violence Fund.  

Garrison was arrested in April 2012, a day after he was accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend as they were getting off an elevator in an apartment building in the 300 block of North Palm Drive in Beverly Hills. He fled when a witness approached them.  

The actor was arrested the following day by Beverly Hills police. He was on parole at the time after being convicted of vehicular manslaughter in 2007.  

The arrest came almost three years after Garrison was released from state prison. He served less than half of a three-year, four-month sentence for a Beverly Hills drunk-driving crash in 2006 in which a teenage boy was killed.  

Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox also issued an order that Garrison stay away from the victim. Although he was sentenced to 74 days in jail, Garrison was given credit for the time he had served.
