Jimmy Kimmel will only have to walk a few feet outside the studio where his late-night show is filmed to see his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Friday morning ceremony for the host’s star will be at the front of the El Capitan Entertainment Centre at 6840 Hollywood Blvd., where Kimmel films his show, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. His Emmy-nominated show “Jimmy Kimmel Live” debuted in 2003 on ABC. In 2012, Kimmel hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards and was the headliner of the annual White House Correspondents’ Assn. Dinner in Washington, D.C.

‘The boulevard will be filled with laughter on his special day with all the shenanigans that may be going on in connection with his star ceremony,’ said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.

‘Jimmy always makes us laugh, and he has done so much for the Hollywood community. He was bound to end up on Hollywood Boulevard.”

LAPD Officer Joe Granados said police don’t expect any major traffic disruptions for the ceremony, although one lane of Hollywood Boulevard might be closed.

Kimmel’s show on Thursday night was hijacked by actor Matt Damon, who has famously been “bumped” from the show hundreds of times over the years.

The Times’ Meredith Blake wrote: ‘With his nemesis bound and gagged in a chair to the rear of the stage, Damon had free rein over the entire broadcast’ and that the actor ‘began with a monologue in which Damon ruthlessly taunted Kimmel.’
