Homicides: September 1 - September 7

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has confirmed the following deaths as homicides:

Joaquin Madrigal, a 20-year-old Latino, on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Madrigal was shot in the 8900 block of Priscilla Street in Downey.

Marcelino Pettway, a 25-year-old black man, on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Pettway was shot at Long Beach Boulevard and Marcelle Street in Compton.

Edith Gomez, an 11-year-old, Latina, on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Gomez was stabbed in the 7800 block of Irvine Avenue in Sun Valley.

Diana Gomez, a 16-year-old, Latina, on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Gomez was stabbed in the 7800 block of Irvine Avenue in Sun Valley.

Rene Sandoval, a 22-year-old Latino, on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Sandoval was shot in 6800 block of San Rafael Street in Paramount.

Mike Coffey, a 34-year-old white man, on Thursday, Sept. 3. Coffey died of blunt force trauma in the 7800 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sunland.

Rommel Delos Reyes, a 64-year-old Latino, on Thursday, Sept. 3. Delos Reyes died of blunt force trauma. At this time the location of Delos Reyes’ death is not available.

Wilson Victorian, a 59-year-old black man, on Friday, Sept. 4. Victorian was shot in the 200 block of Dominiguez Street in Carson.

Daisy Flores, a 26-year-old Latina, on Friday, Sept. 4. Flores died from a gunshot wound to the spine. At this time the location of this shooting is not available.

Keith Moore, a 20-year-old black man, on Saturday, Sept. 5. Moore was shot in 1500 block of West 55th Street in Harvard Park.

Brenda Saxton, a 55-year-old black woman, on Saturday, Sept. 5. No details on the manner of death have been released by authorities.

Jerome Downs, a 21-year-old black man, on Sunday, Sept. 6. Downs was shot at 4th Street and Boylston Street in Westlake.

Robert Brown, a 84-year-old black man, on Sunday, Sept. 6. Brown was shot in the 10800 block of South Avalon Boulevard in Green Meadows.

Reynesha Reed, a 24-year-old black woman, on Monday, Sept. 7. Reed was shot in the 12800 block of South San Pedro Street in unincorporated Los Angeles County.

Lawrence Crosby, a 50-year-old black man, on Monday, Sept. 7. At this time there is no additional information available from the coroner.
