As E3 winds down, we can all marvel at the leading-the-way tech of Microsoft’s Kinect and Nintendo’s 3DS, but sometimes a gamer just wants a bit of retro fun. Check out the trailer for ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’...

If you want to try the game yourself, go to Scott Pilgrim’s Super Fun Free Party, which starts Thursday at 8 p.m. at 1025 E. 16th St. in Los Angeles. Tell them you’re a Hero Complex reader and if there’s still room inside, well, you scored yourself a free admission. The party will feature Ubisoft game demo stations, exclusive game/movie/comic book giveaways, microbrews and more, all surrounded by trailers and TV clips projected on the walls.
