Lady Gaga surprises New York's Oak Room with a song
Lady Gaga's concert tickets might come at a steep price, but folks at New York City's Oak Room got a free surprise performance from the artist Wednesday evening.
Dressed in a bondage-esque leather mini and stockings, a blond and powdered Gaga rolled through the venue, within the famous Plaza Hotel, for a jazz performance from pal Brian Newman. It wasn't long before she was inspired to hop on stage and belt out a rendition of "Someone to Watch Over Me."
Not exactly a Monster Ball production, but it's exciting that Gaga can still pop up in unexpected places. Check out the video below, but be warned -- it's mostly dark, with just a few flashes of the Lady.

according to the new york daily mail, she arrived with boyfriend luc carl, her friend brian who plays trumpet on wednesdays(he played 1st number on today show with her last july), and bodyguards, in a rolls royce and escalade. while brian played, stephanie and luc danced kissingly to sinatra songs, and then, ms. gaga sang six songs, first with a martini in hand claiming it was her fifth.
this is the second impromto appearance at the plaza hotel's oak room to accompany her friend brian. nothing like showing your friends support. a young new york gal comes home and sings hotel parlors for free. she's loyal and passionate to the extreme. plus the self satisfaction of being revered in her hometown rich spots. must be fun. what happens when it all gets old? i hope she gets married and has babies, gives up touring and starts a record company, more production companies and maybe a music school for the underprivileged talents of our country. she gracefully moves over and introduces us to the next era of talent. instead of touring until she's fifty.

As long as there are outrageous costumes to wear, Ms. GaGa will be remembered for her outfits more than her music...kitschy guilty pleasures...
