Charlie Sheen's guilty plea means no jail time [poll]
Charlie Sheen pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault Monday in Aspen, Colo., and was sentenced to 30 days in rehab, 30 days' probation and 36 hours of anger management training.
And check out this jailhouse math: With credit for time served — Sheen had already gone through "preventative rehab" — he'll essentially check into Promises in Malibu within 30 days, then turn around and leave, says TMZ. The anger management classes are done as well.
Colorado prosecutors dropped a felony menacing charge and a criminal mischief charge in exchange for Sheen's guilty plea on the misdemeanor assault. The charges stem from a Christmas Day 2009 dispute with his wife, Brooke Mueller, after which she told police that he'd threatened to kill her after she said she wanted a divorce and straddled her on a bed with one hand on her neck and the other hand holding a knife. He told police they'd argued, but he denied threatening her.
Mueller called 911 at 8:34 a.m. Dec. 25. Both parties had been drinking, with Sheen's blood alcohol level testing at .04 and Mueller's coming in at .13.
What do you think of Sheen's sentence? Tell us, in our nonscientific online poll after the break.

How does he do it? How does he continue time and time again to skate by any and all charges against him? Unreal.

I hope he has a head-on collision in traffic with Lindsay Lohan.
We don't need either of them.

I have lived long enough to know that a .13 blood alcohol level would most likely be the one out of control.

The US Justice System is a joke. Charlie Sheen should not be doing anytime....

He was .04 and she was .13 and they took her word for it to file felony charges? She sobered up, realized it was an ordinary argument and that she had lied to the cops and decided she couldn't go through with testifying. What else were they gonna do but plea it out to a misdemeanor with time served?

What sort of wacky court system will let Charlie Sheen physically hit a woman and only do 30 days of rehab and not jail, and yet Lindsay Lohan has three times as much rehab and is locked behind bars just for being late to go to her driving classes. Either Charlie Sheen is under punished or Lindsay Lohan was drastically under punished.

It's too bad Colorado allows this light sentence. I have been conducting domestic violence classes since the 1990's and have seen the results of different lengths of the program as it has evolved in California. In this time the length changed from just a few weeks, to 6 months (longer then Sheen's program) to the present 12 months (52 weeks x 2 hours - 104 hours) and I have noticed vast improvements in the outcomes with the longer program. Mr. Sheen has had problems with his relationships before and he is not going to change his habitual behavior quickly (as proven by his rehab stints) and a longer program is necessary to overcome his denial and arrogance.

This is your basic toxic relationship. We all know Charlie Sheen has been doing this for years. Hell, he even has a top rated television show where he plays himself and brags about it. The question we should be asking ourselves is "why did Brooke think she was 'special'? It's a rattle snake, it will bite you, honey. Nuff' said.

Money, fame, and popularity, are not all thats needed in this life. Charlie is, in his heart, a good person. He kows he has made mistakes, and when he does, it becomes public knowledge, so his hurt is inside. I think he needs help. I believe he needs someone to show him the path to happiness. Everyone looks at him in the negative way. They shouldn't!!!! He is still a human being, with feelings. Why does he do the things he does??? Only Charlie really knows. I know he needs understanding, not condemnation.
