Charlie Sheen due in court again -- will he cut a plea deal or head to trial?

Stop us if this sounds familiar -- on Monday afternoon, Charlie Sheen is due in an Aspen, Colo., court, where he is expected to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge related to a December allegation of domestic violence, for which he will serve no jail time, TMZ reports.
Oh, wait, that doesn’t sound familiar -- back in June, when the first plea deal fell apart, reports were that Sheen would plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge and begin serving his jail time immediately. That deal allegedly fell apart over details of Sheen’s proposed work-release program and whether he’d be allowed to smoke cigarettes during the hours he wasn’t behind bars. Nixing the agreement also meant the “Two and a Half Men” actor didn’t have to do hard time at a community theater.
If Sheen’s attorney and the prosecutors can’t reach a deal, TMZ says, both sides will ask the judge to set a date to take this puppy to trial. Back in March, Sheen entered a not-guilty plea when he was arraigned on one felony count and two misdemeanor counts after his December arrest on suspicion of assaulting wife Brooke Mueller.
