Adam Lambert's half-shaved head -- and a peek at him putting on his guyliner

Adam Lambert gave the world a look at an upcoming "Glam Nation" tour costume Wednesday night, tweeting out the photo shown above, then told fans who might freak out over the Twitter debut of his dramatically different hair, "Calm down ... Just shaved one side ... :)" And with that, he joins the long list of celebrities who've shaven off their heads.

Lambert, who has a new music video out (click to watch it) for "If I Had You," was among the celebs who showed up for Logo TV's NewNowNext Awards, which taped June 13 and aired Thursday. Paula Abdul made the scene also, to collect her Always Next, Forever Now Icon Award.  Fans who don't have access to the niche network via their cable providers, or who missed the show, can see the entire show online.

I love that he's wild and isn't afraid to try something new. I love it he told people to "calm down." hahaha Hair grows back so it really doesn't matter. But I do prefer his longer hair, especially when it falls in his eyes. Very sexy. Makes me want to pull it. :)

Would be really great if you attached his acutal music video to this article. The If I Had You music video is such a blast! Great beat and great message for summer fun. Adam just shaved about 1/4 of his head actaully and it looks great - the rest of his gorgeous hair is still there.

Adam loves to change things up and, even if he won't admit it, likes to throw us into a tizzy. It worked!! I don't like the hair with the hat, but without the hat, HOT HOT HOT. There is no way Adam is not gorgeous, and I love that he is adorable one minute and fierce the next. He is such a chameleon, both vocally and visually. Don't love or hate it. It's just a style/look & ADAM will change it soon enough. That's what makes ADAM so INTERESTING ... never know WHAT he will do next! That's also PART of why I LOVE ADAM! I loved his long hair on idol and its been progressively getting shorter and shorter-sigh! I hope Adam please grows it out again as I love when a part of his hair ends up over his eyes- so soft and sexy....but ultimately i will still love him no matter how he looks- cause he sings like an angel and a fiery god all at once!

Saw this look in the Milwaukee acoustic version of WLL minus the costume and it is purely exotic male gorgeous. I think the glam costume is distracting in the photo tho not on stage.

there is no calming down when it comes to adam lambert...he is one hot sexy beast. this is part of what makes him so exciting. but the absolute sexiest hair was the way he had it long during the performance of satisfaction. when that hair flipped down over his face......oh my!
