PREACH IT! Jesse James did WHAT? In other news, our brains just exploded [poll]

No way. No way! Right?

Reports are swirling around the Internets -- not to mention eddying quite a bit around our own blogs -- that the irresistibly epic love story between Jesse James and Sandra Bullock is more myth than fact.

There were always warning signs about Bullock’s choice of hubby, of course -- an Armageddon of a child custody dispute with a porn star ex-wife doesn’t necessarily speak well of a guy -- but we here at Preach It! had high hopes nonetheless. The two of them really do look amazingly cute together. And when Bullock got up and made those speeches during the Oscars and Globes, we almost wished we had a supertatted, supposedly reformed bad-boy reality star husband of our own.

Which begs for a poll, of course. Given what you’ve read about James allegedly cheating on Bullock with a lady who looks like this -- and the subsequent cancellation of Bullock’s London movie premiere -- do you believe it’s true? And if so, would that make James certifiably insane, or merely fantastically, completely out of his mind?

A few comments and observations:

1. who cares?
2. we know nothing of their relationship whatsoever. Perhaps Sandra is not nice, not good in the sack, a terrible cook or who knows what else that matters in a relationship.
3. There are lots of pretty women out there who are not actresses and I would hazard a guess that they divorce at the same rate as other women.

I find it amusing that the history of this couple is conviniently forgotten. When these two got together, he was married to a pregnant woman. Why is this relationship seen as so pure and wonderful. No matter who is wife was (porn star) she was still his wife. Granted, Ms. Bullock does not deserve this, but neither did his other wife.

To JD: You don't have to spend your money at the box office on someone you don't like...and there's a channel selector switch...always has been...on your TV remote control.

As for Ms. Bullock's marital troubles, I'm a little worried, but I feel they will eventually subside, one way or the other. Maybe she should have known better about Jesse's world, which puts him in contact with many tattooed ladies. It could be anti-Sandy media hype...or even anti-Jesse ranting.

If Ms. Bullock could learn how to drive a transit-style bus for "Speed" and didn't need a stunt driver for backup...and I might add, skillfully enough she now holds a Class "C" license from the DMV and membership in a union local representing bus drivers, she could get another job if the acting career went belly up. But, it hasn't. She produces movies, TV shows(George Lopez' sitcom, for example)and humbly accepts awards for bad acting as well as good. I rest my case.

Its simple biology,he may truly be madly in love with Sandra. It's no defence, any intelligent woman would give him a pass. When we hear about 30-40 year marriages, do you really think there wasn't any honey dipping etc. on either side. When I see my own grand children, I consider myself very lucky. Love even for the famous is very hard work.

@JD - Actually, Sandra Bullock is quite intelligent, fluent in two languages (English/German), comes from a cultured and well-travelled background, and chose acting as a career... because she could. She had enough talent, tenacity, and charm to break into a very difficult business, and to succeed in it. And she has obviously handled her money wisely, as she is listed 14th among the richest celebrities. (Evidently she didn't involve herself with Bernie Madoff??) All of these things spell "smart" in my book, hardly "IQ of 5" as you stated.

Why is it unintelligent to choose a career where you make millions of dollars for relatively minimal work?

It seems you, like many, simply disregard her because she has made her millions "the easy way." But, what may seem easy to some is very difficult if not impossible for others, and she pays for her wealth dearly with the constant, often personal, public exposure and scrutiny of even the tiniest details of her life... and the bigger ones, like this... by the speculating morons that make up the American public.

I hope Jesse James did not cheat on Sandra. She presents herself as a kind and compassionate person, someone with a good attitude, and of great humor, and I haven't read or heard anything to make me believe otherwise. But regardless, no one deserves to be betrayed by the one person they put all their faith and trust in, rich or poor, actress or factory worker, smart or uneducated. If he did it, my heart goes out to her, a fellow human being - among her many other facets. True or false, she will now have to live with fear and doubt, a fate I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy (OK, maybe on my WORST enemy). I hope this doesn't change her.

Duh -- Memo to American women in Hollywood and elsewhere

It's hard sometimes to pick out the players from the non-players. Except when he or she is over 35 and is married to a porn star, or is the former husband/wife of a porn star. In that case, he or she, it can safely be assumed, has a casual attitude about sexual monogamy. They just do. Even if they say they don't. Even if they say they don't and actually mean it when they say it. Doesn't make them - or the porn star for that matter - a bad person. But if monogamy is one of your mating requirements, you're probably not a match made in heaven. So go ahead and have a little fun if you must, but don't go walking down the aisle with 'em. Any questions?

Don't know why he married Sandra Bullock in the first place. Though, after looking at this "Bombshell," I'd have to say his taste in women has been on a steady decline since he split with Janine Lindemulder.
