Sandra Bullock, this year’s best actress Oscar winner for her performance in ‘The Blind Side,’ has suddenly pulled out of the movie’s planned London premiere, and that red carpet event has been canceled.

‘Due to unforeseen personal reasons, a trip abroad to support ‘The Blind Side’ has been deemed impossible at this time,’ said a statement released by Warner Bros. The event was planned for March 23; the movie’s March 27 release date in the U.K. is unaffected.

Though no specifics were given for Bullock’s decision, it’s hard to ignore the fact that a U.S. tabloid today published a story alleging marital problems.

On the Academy Awards red carpet March 7 and at the Governors Ball afterward, however, husband Jesse James was a constant presence just out of camera range while Bullock posed for photos and talked to reporters. This is Bullock’s first marriage and James’ third.
