The Bolshoi Ballet’s upcoming ‘Don Quixote’ is undergoing yet another casting change in the company’s performances this week at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

Earlier this month, the Bolshoi said that prima ballerina Svetlana Zakharova would be unable to perform at OCPAC due to a hip injury. It was subsequently announced that Natalia Osipova and Maria Alexandrova would take over the role.

On Monday, OCPAC said that Alexandrova will not be traveling to Orange County for the company’s engagement due to a family emergency. Her appearances will be taken over by Marianna Ryzhkina.

As it currently stands, Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev are set to appear in the opening night performance in Costa Mesa on Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. as well as for the 2 p.m. matinees on Feb. 27 and 28.

Ryzhkina and Mikhail Lobukhin will perform on Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m.
