Videos said to show spread of fighting to Syrian city of Aleppo

This video posted on the Internet purports to show clashes between Syrian rebels and government troops in the middle-class Salahudeen district of Aleppo on Friday. A masked, armed man is seen emerging from a corner and taking cover behind a truck as he loads his automatic weapon. As soon as he enters the street, deafening sounds of gunfire start ringing out.

In the video above, a preacher in a mosque reputed to be in Aleppo galvanizes those in attendance by raising a rifle. He is met with roars of ‘Allahu Akbar!’ (‘God is great’).

In the video above, Syrian government tanks are stationed outside a stadium in the Salahudeen district Saturday.

The video above purports to shows residents with children and bags and sacks leaving Salahudeen early Saturday morning.
