South Carolina Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene has a new video out. Well, it’s his only video. And it’s not really his. And he has no idea who made it.

But he likes it.

What else are you going to do when you’re unemployed, low on cash and don’t have plans to make any campaign commercials?

If you see one on YouTube that puts yourself in a good light, what the heck?

The king of all long shots has ‘endorsed’ a video supporting him called “Alvin Greene is on the scene.”

The entertaining three-minute rap video, which has plenty of LeBron James footage (no word if the King has plans to endorse him), was uploaded to YouTube on July 21 by a user named “VirgilTexas.”

Greene doesn’t know who he is and really doesn’t care.

‘I didn’t have anything to do with it, but I’ll take credit for it,’ Greene told ABC. ‘The video looks good. The music is good. It’s cool.’

Greene told WBT radio in Charlotte that it’s got all the essentials of a good campaign ad. You know, like strong messaging, candidate differentiation and, well, other stuff.

‘It’s a hit song [and] it’s done well,’ he said. ‘It has good rhythm, good beat. Good lyrics, positive, upbeat and I’ll dance to it. If they play it some place where I’m at, I’ll dance to it.’

What about those lyrics? Different from most campaign ads you’ll hear.

“Well Greene’s a new face to politics, and he don’t show porno to college chicks,” raps the unknown performer.

“Alvin Greene is the one for you, he knows how you feel ‘cuz he’s unemployed too,” goes the rap.
