Attention Big Ten sports and politics fans:

Unbeknownst to most of the world, Northwestern University and the University of Illinois are seeking a new name for the trophy that goes to the winner of their intra-state rivalry football game each November.

And one idea -- well, actually, four ideas -- is (are) to name it for the four presidents who claimed Illinois as home -- Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Ronald Reagan and some other guy more recently. The trophy could be named for any or all, as in the Presidents’ Trophy. Or how about the LORG Bowl for each of their last names?

Other current candidates are the Land of Lincoln Trophy, for the state’s license plate slogan. Someone suggested the Graham-Grange Bowl or Bell for Otto Graham and Red Grange, two great players from the schools’ past.
