Opinion: McCain’s underdog Cardinals get 23 points in Super Bowl comeback

You no doubt had a difficult time finding any news about the results of Sunday’s Super Bowl online. Or you wouldn’t be here now.

So as a thoughtful service to our fans of politics -- and since we’ve written about the conjunction of politics and sports in recent days here and over here and some revealing background on Kurt Warner here this morning -- we’ve got some brief coverage for you here tonight.

Down 20-7 late in the game, the underdog Arizona Cardinals led by said Warner came storming back and, with barely 2:47 left, surged ahead, 23-20. Warner was 31 for 43 attempts for 377 yards. The other team got 27 points.
