On the Mall: Boos for Bush, cheers for Obama

WASHINGTON -- Over at the Mall before the swearing-in ceremony, people erupted in boos as outgoing President George W. Bush appeared on a giant TV.

An impromptu chorus of, "Hey, hey, doing fine," was changed to, "Hey, hey, goodbye."

None of it matched the screams and cheers and flag waving that erupted when incoming President Barack Obama came into view.

"O-BA-MA!" the crowd chanted over and over.
