Khalfani Muhammad of Notre Dame and Ariana Washington of Long Beach Poly have defended their state 100 meter championships.

Muhammad won in 10.33 seconds, equaling his wind-legal best, and Washington won the girls race in 11.39. It marks the first time in state history both 100 meter champions defended their title in the same year.
