When Newhall Hart loses in a seven on seven passing tournament this summer, it will be big news, because the Indians and their talented receiving group are very tough to beat.

Hart won its own tournament championship on Saturday, defeating Westlake in the final.

Quarterback Brady White continues to benefit from an experienced and dependable group of receivers that includes Trent Irwin, Chase White, Andrew MacArthur, Wes Fitzpatrick, Connor Wingenroth and Davis Koppenhaver.

‘All of our receivers are playing outstanding,’ Coach Mike Herrington said.

Westlake is alternating at quarterback sophomore Malik Henry and senior Tommy Gonzales.

Thousand Oaks and Bakersfield Liberty also reached the semifinals before being eliminated.

Hart is in the Conejo Valley tournament next weekend.
