Football: Construction begins on new stadium at Pioneer High

June 28, 2013 |  7:00 am

Construction has begun on a new football stadium at Whittier Pioneer High that will be completed next summer at a cost of close to $18 million.

The home side of the stadium will seat more than 5,000.

Funding comes from a bond measure passed in 2008.

Whittier California will be the next school in the district to get a new stadium.
