Boys' basketball: Quarterfinals set for Fairfax tournament

There are eight teams left in the championship bracket of the Fairfax tournament after Tuesday's first-round games.

Wednesday's schedule: El Camino Real vs. Chino Hills, 7 p.m.; Loyola vs. Corona Centennial, 8:30 p.m. Thursday's schedule: Fairfax vs. Mater Dei, 7 p.m.; Long Beach Poly vs. Orange Lutheran, 8:30 p.m.

There were two games that went down the final seconds on Tuesday. Long Beach Poly pulled out a 72-70 win over Alemany. Orange Lutheran got a basket at the buzzer from Keisean Lucier-South to defeat Chaminade, 62-60.

Stanley Johnson, freshman Billy Preston and sophomore Jayce Johnson each had 16 points in Mater Dei's 85-41 win over Brentwood.

Fairfax defeated La Canada, 66-49.
