Baseball: Ryan McMahon gets triple, single in pro debut

Ryan McMahon, the former Mater Dei third baseman who was a second-round draft pick of the Colorado Rockies, had a triple and single in his professional debut on Thursday night for the Grand Junction Rockies of the Pioneer League.

Also on his team is former Palm Desert standout Ryan Garvey, who had two hits, including a double.
