Gardena Serra trails Richmond Salesian, 14-12, after one quarter in the CIF state championship Division IV final at Sleep Train Arena.

Michigan-bound Siera Thompson leads Serra with five points. Junior sensation Mariya Moore leads Salesian with eights points.

The talent level in the DIV finals is as good as any level of girls’ finals this weekend.
