Girls' basketball: Controversy involving Richmond Salesian assistant coach [Updated]

March 23, 2013 |  7:24 am

FOX40 reported on Friday that a Richmond Salesian assistant girls' baskeball coach won't be joining his team for Saturday's CIF state championship Division IV final against Gardena Serra after reportedly posting explicit photos of himself on Craigslist and seeking to meet women in Sacramento on Friday night.

Toussaint Taylor is listed on the Salesian High School athletic site as a girls' basketball assistant coach. FOX40 reported that Taylor admitted posting the ad but indicated he had done nothing illegal.

Here's the link to video story.

Athletic Director Chad Nightingale confirmed Saturday morning that Taylor has been asked by the school's principal not to participate in Saturday's game. Nightingale said Taylor "regrets what he did" but child protective services and local police contacted by the school indicated Taylor did not break any law, according to Nightingale.
