Boys’ basketball: Rolling Hills Prep leads at halftime

Shalhevet fell behind 8-0 and was held scoreless for the first six minutes, but the second-seeded Firehawks have fought back and trail Rio Hondo Prep 23-20 at halftime of the Southern Section Division 5A final at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Guard Joseph Fallas has 10 points and center Eitan Rothman has seven rebounds for Shalhevet. Sophomore center Jimbo Lull has 11 points and eight rebounds for Rio Hondo Prep.
