Football: Garfield’s Lance Fernandez is Eastern League MVP

Senior running back Lance Fernandez of Garfield was selected the player of the year in the Eastern League.

Quarterback Jonathan Santos of South East was the offensive player of the year. Gilbert Herrera of Roosevelt was the defensive player of the year. Irvin Rivera of Bell, a junior defensive lineman, was the lineman of the year.
