Boys’ basketball: Ron Lee Jr. leads Oak Park to championship

Oak Park (9-1), led by tournament MVP Ron Lee Jr., knocked off Crescenta Valley, 55-53, in the championship game of the San Fernando Valley Invitational.

Lee scored 26 points. J.D. Slajchert added 12 points.

Alemany took third place with a 62-37 win over Kennedy. Bennie Boatwright scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds. Crespi defeated University, 62-48, with London Perrantes scoring 20 points and Max Heidegger 18.

Sun Valley Poly defeated East Valley League rival Grant, 55-40. Cesar Reyes scored 25 points. Poly held Tullio Parry to 11 points.

Other scores: St. Genevieve 72, Muir 56; Notre Dame 75, Camarillo 66 in overtime; Granada Hills 75, Monroe 38; Verdugo Hills 57, Northridge 37; Chatsworth 77, Salesian 57; Knight 44, Quartz Hill 33.
