Football: Narbonne takes on San Pedro in Marine League

San Pedro has been a reliable competitor to Narbonne in the Marine League. Coach Mike Walsh of San Pedro and Coach Manuel Douglas of Narbonne have great respect for each other. In fact, Douglas is 5-5-1 against the Pirates, including a 49-42 loss to San Pedro last season and a tie in the 2008 City championship game.

So understand that the unbeaten Gauchos (7-0) have no intention of taking San Pedro (5-2) lightly in Friday night’s homecoming game at Narbonne.

The good news is that Narbonne is starting to get healthy. Set to return are receiver Jon’tae Roberson and offensive guard Roman Faatai. Receiver and the offensive line are two key positions that can help the Gauchos.
