Roger Lemus of Los Angeles Lincoln experienced a Friday night he won’t soon forget.

Besides rushed for 194 yards in 25 carries and scored three touchdowns while also starting at inside linebacker on defense in a 28-21 win over Marshall, he also was named homecoming king.

‘He was exhausted and was playing with the dirtiest uniform,’ Coach Albert Carrillo said. ‘He had a tremendous game. It was his night.’

In one fourth-quarter series, Lincoln ran 10 offensive plays and eight were Lemus running the ball.

By winning, Lincoln (7-1, 2-0) has already beaten two of the toughest teams in the Northern League and becomes the clear favorite to win the league title.
