Football: Crenshaw takes control of Coliseum League

Crenshaw’s defense put the pressure on Dorsey quarterback Reginald Bell and sparked a 34-14 victory over the Dons in a Coliseum League game.

Crenshaw is 7-1 overall and 3-0 in league. Dorsey is 5-3 and 2-1.

Dominique Hatfield caught an 18-yard touchdown pass, returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown and finished with two interceptions. He also caught four passes for 79 yards. Mossi Johnson added an interception. The Cougars finished with four intercepitons.

Johnson is headed to UCLA. Hatfield just committed to Utah. They’re Crenshaw’s two standout cornerbacks.

‘I think they can play with anybody in the country,’ Coach Robert Garrett said of his cornerbacks.

Ajene Harris completed eight of 15 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 57 yards.

Corey Walker rushed for 92 yards.
