The Marmonte League is dividing into two separate divisions for the football season, featuring a Marmonte League West and a Marmonte League East.

I predict the two private schools, St. Bonaventure and Oaks Christian, will end up winning their respective divisions, and then the other eight public schools will start complaining loudly.

Then the real fun begins in how to kick St. Bonaventure and Oaks Christian out of the league. That’s the ultimate goal for the eight public schools.

Oaks Christian is in the West with Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Calabasas and Agoura.

St. Bonaventure is in the East with Westlake, Royal, Simi Valley and Newbury Park. The division winners will face off on Nov. 2, then get to move on to the Pac-5 playoffs.

It’s going to be quite interesting watching everything unfold.
