Mossi Johnson of Crenshaw is going to be used in a variety of positions, including receiver.

Ramone Smith of South East showed potential and was given a fifth year of eligibility by the City Section. He teams with Alex Alvarez, who had 42 receptions last season.

Joshua Taylor of L.A. Franklin moves from quarterback to receiver, and he could be one of the best. He showed his athleticism during the track season in the long jump.

Fairfax has a promising receiver in Bill-Bijon Parker. Keonte White of Sylmar has speed to go deep. Lincoln has high hopes for Jose Bautista and Joaquin Orozco. The best player at Gardena could be receiver Tyre Simmons. Junior Keino Mitchell of Venice is showing potential.

Junior tight end Bryson Bowman of Granada Hills should be a standout.

There are opportunities for unknown young players to break out and get some attention.
