Football: Upland wins Bonita tournament

Upland has been one of the best summer passing teams, and the Highlanders showed it again on Saturday night, winning the Bonita tournament after defeating Valencia in the championship game.

Quarterback Nate Romine has been impressive all summer for Upland, which defeated Hart in the semifinals. Valencia defeated Rancho Cucamonga in the other semifinal.

Valencia has lost three times in tournament championship games.

Ayala won the consolation championship with a victory over Riverside North.
