On the final day of the regular season in City Section baseball, Chatsworth and El Camino Real pulled out dramatic victories to finish as co-West Valley League champions.

With the bases loaded, Chatsworth reliever Nick Milone came up with a strikeout to save the Chancellors’ 3-2 victory over Granada Hills.

Justin Russell’s walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh gave El Camino Real a 3-2 win over Cleveland.

Chatsworth and El Camino Real finish 8-2 in league and there’s likely going to be a coin flip needed to decide the league’s No. 1 representative for the City Section Division I playoffs. The seeding meeting is Wednesday.

Clayton Hubbard hit a two-run home run in the first inning for Granada Hills, but Chatsworth was able to rally behind Chris DeVito, who had two hits, including a double. Kiefer Kofman picked up the win on the mound for Chatsworth.

Cleveland took a 2-1 lead in the sixth, but El Camino Real tied it in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI double by JJ Crane. Owen Perry pitched well for the Conquistadores.

In the Valley Mission League, defending City champion San Fernando probably cost itself a No. 1 seed in the playoffs after losing to Sylmar, 12-7. Sylmar scored seven runs in the sixth inning. First baseman Mike Munoz went four for four with three RBIs. Van Nuys defeated Reseda, 6-0. Leo Alcala threw five hitless innings.

In the East Valley League, Grant finished in a tie for second with Poly and Arleta after defeating North Hollywood, 4-1.
