Boys’ basketball: Katin Reinhardt, Xavier Johnson are co-MVPs

Katin Reinhardt and Xavier Johnson of Santa Ana Mater Dei have been selected to co-players of the year in Southern Section Division 1AA by the coaches.

Gabe York received the top honor in 1A. Dion Wright of Mayfair in MVP in 2A. Nicholas Smiley of Inglewood was MVP in 2AA.
Max Guercy and Marqueze Coleman of Alemany shared the honor in 3A. Sophomore Jeremy Lieberman of Calabasas received the honor in 3AA. Chris Reyes of Damien and Brandon Jolley of Pasadena were honored in 3AAA.
Dakarai Tucker of Gardena Serra is the MVP in 4AA. Brandon Taylor of Pacific Hills is the MVP in 4A. In 5A, freshman Marcus LoVett Jr. of Providence was honored. In 5AA, Brandon Randolph of St. Bernard received the award. In 6, it was Vince DeGuzman of Renaissance.
