Running back Robert Lewis gets lots of attention for South East and has rushed for 1,760 yards, but junior quarterback Jonathan Santos has come through with one standout performance after another.

He has passed for 2,279 yards and 23 touchdowns with five interceptions for 10-1 South East. And he didn’t even start last season on JVs.

He was 11 of 12 for 266 yards and four touchdowns by halftime on Friday night against Van Nuys Grant in a City Section Division II opener. South East won, 56-14.
