Football: JJ Muno fills in at quarterback for Notre Dame

A knee injury forced Kelly Hilinski to the sideline last week against Golden Valley, and backup JJ Muno performed well in his place for Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, completing three of four passes in a 42-0 victory.

The Knights play Chaminade this week in an important neighborhood rivalry game, but they open Serra League play in two weeks, so it would not be a surprise if Hilinski is held out another game to make sure he’s ready for Encino Crespi on Oct. 14.
