Boys’ basketball: Taft seeded No. 1 in City playoffs

As expected, Woodland Hills Taft has been awarded the top seed for the City Section Division I playoffs.

The Toreadors (23-2), champions of the West Valley League, will host No. 16 Hollywood (11-5), the Central League champion, in the first round Thursday night.

Western League champion Westchester (23-6) is the No. 2 seed, followed by Marine League champion Washington (20-6), Coliseum League champion Crenshaw (18-8) and Western League runner-up Palisades (16-12).
