Football: Preseason Catholic All-American team announced

Everyone seems to have an All-American team, so why not one for players from Catholic high school football teams.

CatholicSportsNet has put together a 75-man preseason All-American team.

Among the local players named were quarterback Max Wittek from Santa Ana Mater Dei, receiver Victor Blackwell from Mater Dei, receiver George Farmer from Gardena Serra, lineman Troy Niklas from Anaheim Servite, linebacker Cody Kurz from Ventura St. Bonaventure, defensive end Jason Gibson from Serra and kicker Connor Loftus from Servite.
