Boys’ basketball: It’s class of 2011 vs. class of 2012

An all-star basketball game featuring top players from the class of 2011 taking on top players from the class of 2012 will take place Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the HAX in Hawthorne.

The So Cal Clash will also have Gardena Serra’s Dwan Hurt and Los Angeles Price’s Michael Lynch serving as coaches.

Among the 2011 players expected to participate are Byron Wesley from Etiwanda, Spencer Dinwiddie and Kevin Johnson from Woodland Hills Taft, Norvel Pelle from Price, Jonathan Davis from Simi Valley, Wesley Saunders from L.A. Windward and Norman Powell from San Diego Lincoln.

Leading the class of 2012 are Gabe York from Orange Lutheran, Zena Edosomwan from North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, Anthony January from Compton and Skylar Spencer from Price.
