The Marmonte League is not known as a parent-friendly sports league, particularly in baseball, where it seems as if a year never goes by without parents chasing away a coach.

Agoura’s Dennis Reitz has become the latest casualty, announcing Thursday he has resigned after two seasons as coach. Reitz blamed parental meddling for his decision.

‘They’re so out of control,’ Reitz said. ‘It sucks the fun out of the game. I love the game. What would really be nice is to find a solution. We aren’t the enemy.’

Reitz said he will return to Ventura College as an assistant coach.
