Mass and visitation to be held next week for Loyola’s Dawson

A visitation will be held Monday and a Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday for longtime Loyola Athletic Director Jon Dawson, who died earlier this week from a brain aneurysm.

The visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Callanan & Woods Scovern Mortuary, located at 511 S. Central Avenue in Glendale. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Loyola High’s Xavier Center, with a reception immediately thereafter. A private interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to The Jon Dawson Memorial Scholarship by clicking here. Notes of condolence may be left here and other notes may be sent directly to Mrs. Sandy Dawson at 2653 Olympic View Drive, Chino Hills CA 91709.
