Boys’ basketball: Another City mess is brewing

Make sure you arrive early to the Division I Southern California Regional between Westchester and Fairfax because so far, the people at L.A. Southwest College don’t know what they are doing.

I’ve been sitting outside since 5 p.m. trying to get into the gym, but the officials aren’t letting anyone in other than L.A. Southwest students while repeatedly saying they are waiting for Westchester officials to show up for the 7 p.m. game.

Press passes, forget it. These are the same people who didn’t exactly run things very well when the City Section held a playoff doubleheader at L.A. Southwest several years ago. And it’s the reason the City Section should avoid a return engagement any time soon.
