Football: Nike Air Strike Tournament expands

The 2009 Nike Air Strike Tournament has expanded from eight to 16 teams, with San Clemente and Dana Hills co-hosting the event June 13.

Eight teams will play at one venue and eight will play at the other in the morning session. A championship bracket will be held at Dana Hills and a consolation bracket will be held at San Clemente at the conclusion of the morning session.

Schools scheduled to participate are San Clemente, Servite, St. Margaret’s, St. Bonaventure, San Diego Westview, Santa Margarita, Mater Dei, Long Beach Poly, Tesoro, Los Alamitos, Edison and Dana Hills.

UPDATE: Crespi, Trabuco Hills, Oaks Christian and Lakewood have been added to the tournament, filling the remaining spots.
